INTRODUCTION

            On December 17th, Cosmopoint College will hold a Hospitality Week organized by culinary students assisted by lecturers and other students. There are many interesting activities that will be held such as bread exhibits, chocolate exhibits, traditional cuisine, catwalk and so on. The second semester culinary student will hold a chef attire design competition which will be the last assignment for us for the second semester, therefore, each of us will join it.

CONTENT

             On 3^th December, Chef Naim has notified us of our last assignment of chef attire design competition. We are divided into 7 groups to contest the design of the shirt. Each group will have a model to show the design of the chef’s attire and the other members will present the design.

On 3th December, we already choose our group member which is Norfadilah bt Md Isa, Dayang Nur Sajidah bt Pg Che Adnin, Nur Zulaikha Farhana bt Roslan, Muhd Haziek Ersyad and Luke Pheodor Edward James .

           On 8^th December, we have been discussing our designs. It took about 1 hour discuss about this idea. We are surfing internet and using some social media to find some ideas. In the end, all of us decide to use Malaysian theme to our design. This idea comes from a multi-racial society in Malaysia.

In this design, we can see that, we combine the 3 races in Malaysia which is Malay, Chinese and Indian. For apron, we use “kain sari” to represent the Indian community. We also add 2 pocket in front to make sure it is looks more beautiful and more useful. For neckerchief and for the sleeve, we use“ kain batik” to represent the Malay community and for Chinese, we use red tudung for the symbolic of Chinese colour. As you know that, red colour can bring lucky to your life and it shows us braveness. So we choose red colour for our tudung to shows to everyone, that we will take any challenge in the future to be the best one.

         On, 9^th to 11^th December, we cooperate to sew the apron, neckerchief and the sleeve. We sew it by ourselves, we divide the task equally, so all of us will do it together to make sure this design is successfully achieve.

         On 14^th and 15^th December, we do some rehearsal at Hallway, Cosmopoint College. All of us join and, we did a great job at rehearsal. Model, technician, and others are well prepared for next week which is our last presentation “Hospitality week” that will be held on 17^th December 2018.

CONCLUSION

              In conclusion, through this activity, we can work together to make it happen. We also can communicate with each culinary students. All of us really appreciate to all of culinary students and lecturers that make this activity more fun and enjoyable. Plus, we really hope that, this Hospitality Week will be held successfully .
